Obituary for James Joseph "Jimmy" Martin Jr.,

Print
Martin, James J, (Jimmy) passed away unexpectedly October 22nd, a lifelong resident of Woonsocket he was the son of James Martin Sr., of Florida and Hope Brunnell of Woonsocket. Jimmy is survived by one daughter, his sisters Jamie Clark and Jen Martin also of Woonsocket. Jimmy is also survived by his paternal grandmother Eleanor Martin and his Uncles Roland Martin, Kevin Martin and his Aunt Alyce Riendeau along with many cousins by whom he will be sorely missed.

James was a loving father, son, brother, uncle and cousin. He had a presence that would completely light up a room as soon as he walked in, he owned the joint and it wasn't just because he was tall, it was because of the way he carried himself. Like a boss. He'd greet everyone with that big, lovable smile. Almost like a trademark grin, you knew he both loved you and had something on his mind. The way he hugged, was all encompassing, as if he was trying to hold the world in place so that he could enjoy that moment for as long as possible. He loved to laugh and joke around with his sisters and family. He was a fine prankster and no matter how good he got you, you still loved him anyway. A lifelong fan of wrestling & football, there wasn't a player he couldn't name, or a move he couldn't execute. James spent a great deal of time searching for his place in the world & truly believed he'd make an ever lasting impact. We are very proud to say that he has, on every one of us. He will be forever missed, forever remembered & forever loved by his family & loved ones."

Services for Jimmy will be held in the Berarducci Funeral Home 185 Spring St Woonsocket and will be private.
